Johnny Paycheck is another country music legend. He wrote the song “Take This Job and Shove It,” which was released in 1977. It’s full of criticism towards working conditions and a general view that it’s not worth what the workers put into it.

Johnny Cash wrote the song “A Boy Named Sue” in 1961. The song is a comedic anti-domestic violence anthem. He conceived the song during a domestic dispute between Cash and his wife, Vivian.

3. Dolly Parton

Dolly Rebecca Parton is an accomplished country songwriter renowned for pioneering the interface between pop and country music styles.

To further her music career, she moved to Nashville after graduating from high school in 1964. She has won more than eight Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999.
